Ⅰ. Introduction
During the past 10 years, Australia's economy has developed rapidly. GDP increase rate is the best example for showing it. GDP per capita has surged almost two times than that of the last decade. Also, in the 'trade' part, the quantity of oversea trade is getting larger due to the trade of resources, dairy goods, and agricultural goods and so on.
In the core of the dramatic growth, the prime minister of Australia, John Howard has always led the sailing of Australia. John Howard is the Australia’s second longest-serving prime minister who has been in office since 1996. And current administration is his fourth one.
The keys of Howard’s long-term government are ‘steady economic development and powerful security policy’. In the last decade with the Prime Minister, John Howard, Australia has achieved the great economic development and succeeded reducing unemployment rate. The unemployment rate stays around 5.1% lower than that of the Howard’s early cabinet (8%). Approximately, two million jobs have been created. Moreover, GDP per capita which was under $20000 is now over $30000 and its increasing rate is much higher than the inflation rate. Owing to such results, domestically, Howard’s approval rating is at the summit. (Some supporters who upheld the Labor party before even change their party memberships to the Liberals.) Howard’s enthusiastic foreign policy is oriented to get practical benefits working as the momentum of economic boost. Unlike the former Prime Minister, Paul Keating who focused on Asian region, the incumbent one has struggled on building firm relationship with U.S. Consequently, he gets several viable achievements. (The plausible reason of Howard’s biased effort is based on his self-identification. Because he identified his Australia as a 'middle power' on the international stage, "coalition-building" with hegemons has taken top priority.)
