< Automobile – Hyundai’s ‘Blue Drive’ >
Hyundai’s ‘Blue Drive’ is hybrid line of Hyundai motor. What is hybrid car? Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) combines a conventional internal combustion engine propulsion system with an electric propulsion system. The presence of the electric powertrain in intended to achieve either better fuel economy than a conventional vehicle, or better performance. The most common form of HEV is the hybrid electric car, although hybrid electric trucks also exist.[Wikipedia US]
‘Avante LPI hybrid’ is the first model of ‘Blue Drive’. It contains cutting-edge hybrid system, and applies a lithium ion polymer battery for the first time in the world.
In ‘Blue drive’, ‘Blue’ means nature and permanence of life, and ‘Drive’ means mobility and propulsive power. That is Hyundai’s will to preserve not only human but also living creatures and contribute to sustainable lives of them. In fact, if we use an Avante for 12 years driving 15km, we can save 12 ton of CO2. This is same with the amount of CO2 that 30 year’s old fine tree can absorb.
