Subject: Advantages and disadvantages of GMO
Objectives: 학생들에게 비판적으로 생각해 볼 수 있는 사회적 이슈를 다룬 기사를 검토하게 한 후 토론을 통해 다양한 관점에서 문제를 바라보고 자신의 의견을 논리적으로 말할 수 있도록 한다.
Materials: 컴퓨터, 프로젝터, 신문기사
Procedures:
1. GMO식품에 대하여 찬성 입장과 반대 입장의 동영상을 2,3분간 보여준다.
반대 입장: Everything you HAVE TO KNOW about Dangerous Genetically Modified Foods
찬성 입장: Transgenic Soybeans Benefit Farmer
2. 4명씩 한 조가 되어 GMO식품의 장점과 단점을 실은 기사를 검토하게 한 후 찬성과 반대쪽 중 자신의 입장을 정하도록 한다.
3. 서로의 찬반의견을 자유롭게 말할 수 있게 장려한다.
4. 교사는 각 조의 활동을 지켜보면서 논리적이고 상황에 맞는 근거를 제시하고 있는지 적절한 질문과 피드백을 해준다.
Evaluation: 동료 평가서를 통해 조원들이 논리적인 근거를 제시하며 주장하는가에 대해 각자의 의견을 쓰도록 한다.
