“Developed a theoretical model to evaluate the overall heat transfer coefficient, considering both conduction through the solid and heat exchange from the solid surface to the gas.”
An accurate determination of the geometrical parameters of the foam was considering the difference in the pore size and the measured value resulted in two different correlations for the same foam.
First, consider the metal foam samples and calculate Sv which is important to determine the gas-solid heat transfer efficiency.
By using the metallic foam, journal explains the schematic diagram of the test.
In this work, heat transfer experiments were run with each foam sample under eight different flow superficial velocities.
