1 Introduction
We're used to take a break or go somewhere for rest. But in Korea, the "leisure" wasn't usual concept for Koreans. Before 70's, we were too busy to have leisure time. But we held the Asian Games in 1986 and Olympic Games in 1988. After that, Leisure became popular and the demand of leisure made a huge increase. And also the law of travel restriction was removed. And increasing demand of tourism industry has led to growth of leisure industry. In 2000's, new styles of in-door leisure activities appeared, such as internet games, web-surfing, online-shopping or SNS, etc.
Now, we have a thriving leisure market. Recently, many of foreigners visit Korea and the leisure activities have been also diversifying. At this point, we thought that we need to know about recent trend of leisure in domestic area. And we would like to talk about the trend of leisure in Korea.
