Solar cells with broad wavelength absorption and their expected efficiency
Ⅲ. Abstract
Recently, the solar cell energy is presently promising field because of energy problems such as oil inflation, fuel exhaustion, global warming and space development. A number of advanced countries have developed the solar cell energy rapidly under a nation enterprise. Of solar cell energy, especially dye-sensitised solar cell (DSSC) which is third generation solar cell has many advantages; low cost, simple manufacturing process and eco friendly. For these advantages, DSSC is considered as a replacement of high cost silicon solar cell.
In this paper, we will discuss what a solar cell is and its history in the first part. To study DSSC, 1st generation solar cell which is silicon crystal and 2nd generation which is multijunction solar cell is introduced. Inparticular, prosand consand principle of DSSC we have studied dare discussed, and we predict absolution of low efficiency with size effect and multijunct ion cell structure. In conclusion part, review and discuss possibility and problems of our study.
