수업시간에 배운 내용을 토대로 will과 be going to가 실질적으로 구어체와 문어체(시트콤, 만화, 연설문, 신문기사, 팝송 등)에서 어떤 식으로 사용되는지, 또 우리가 배운 내용과는 다른 예외사항은 어떤 것이 있는지를, 몇 가지 범주로 나누어 논의할만한 사례들을 중심으로 찾아보았다. Be going to의 구어체적 특성상, 주로 구어체와 관련된 자료들을 중심으로 조사하였고, 문어체와 관련된 부분들은 formal/informal의 항목으로 따로 분류하여 조사하였다. 그리고 우리는 예시 하나하나의 분석에 충실하도록 하였지만, 큰 범주 안에 넣어서 분류하는 것이 will과 be going to의 이해에 도움이 될 것 같아서 무리하나마 이와 같은 방식으로 예를 나열하였다
