| Until now a number of researchers have examined KAPF literati"s criticisms of Guinhoi. In general, however, their studies have three problems. First, the researchers did not take into account the confusion and change of Guinhoi. Second, KAPF literati"s opinions revealed in their criticisms of Guinhoi were regarded as KAPF"s general idea. Third, the researchers excerpted specific parts of specific materials and, as a result, the materials were misinterpreted. This is important in the sense that it is a cause of other problems. Baek Cheol"s The Evil Atmosphere of Yewon (First, Second, Third) (Dong A Ilbo, September 29~October 1, 1933) and Hong Hyo-min"s 1934 and the Literary Circles of Korea - Brief Review and Prospect (1-4) (Dong A Ilbo, 1St, 4th, 5th and 10th of January, 1934) were handled in the worst way by the researchers. Almost all of the researchers misinterpreted the key themes of the two materials. That is, the terms "school of involuntariness" and "spread of liberalism" used by Baek Cheol in his criticism of Guinhoi and the term "avant garde school in the new age of reaction" used by Hong Hyo min were interpreted arbitrarily. This reveals the wrong ways by which the researchers deal with the materials and resultant problems of misreading. |
