|Taiwan has great diversity in traditional religions with several forms of the ritual and the offerings play a major part of it. With the growing awareness of environmental protection, the religious activities have begun to take place in the cyber space by means of mouse clicks; even so, it’s somewhat lack of an almost-real experience and the feel. In regards to cultural conservation combined with eco-friendly technology, an interactive system is what we now develop to shape the future: make possible the digitizing ritual offerings given a brand new way of definition.
The feature of “Augmented Reality, AR” is something between “True & False”, “Virtual & Real”, and have something very similar to the ritual; therefore the research is focused on “AR” technology, a digitizing interactive worship system, making the users feel the difference about the way they have never done it before.
The study is to evaluate the interactive system from 3 aspects : (1) Behavior, (2) Utilization, (3) Theory, along with a series of surveys and interviews based on 6 topics: visibility, conformance, familiarity, feedback, style, discovery. The study attained 3 findings: (1) solutions to combine traditional culture with digital technology. (2) method behind the designing of digitizing rituals. (3) new area of digital learning.
