|The purpose of the present study was to produce differentiated contents utilizing 3D Projection Mapping and Story Telling, which are digital media, based on the history and origins of architectural properties. As the subject of tourist attractions in terms of architectural assets, the Mojiko Station located in Kita Kyushu, Japan was selected. In order to induce favorable changes in tourists’ emotion, digital media contents were designed with the attractions in the Mojiko Harbor subject-matter and experimentally evaluated thereafter. The present study has implications for history education conjoined with cultural contents. We expect that this study will trigger the expansion of a new genre of 3D Projection Mapping in developing various contents in other cultural and historical assets as well as architectural properties.
