|The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of usage motivation and attributes of restaurants on choice among hotel restaurant types. For emprical analysis, surveys were sent out to 300 hotel customers who had visited restaurant sand 248 were included in the final research and repo. The findings and implications can be summarized as follows. We choose Buffet restaurant as reference one and compare the other restaurant types. First, gourmandism is the most important factor among usage motivation for the choice of Chinese restaurant, showing-off for Japanese restaurant, fashionable popularity for Western restaurant and convenience for Buffet restaurant, but no superior advantage of Korean restaurant compared with the other restaurants. Second, we notice that physical environment is the most important factor among attributes of restaurant for the choice of Korean restaurant, good price for Chinese restaurant, good price and quality of service for Japanese restaurant and conformability for Buffet restaurant, but no superior advantage of Western restaurant compared with the other restaurants.
