The purpose of this study is to define the concept of morality education which is called personality education in Korean military and suggest the direction developing its education system. By regarding a soldier`s personality as his morality, this study attempted to evolve its theoretical grounds through axiological approach based on the theory of cognitive moral education and the standpoint of philosophical anthropology. A soldier`s value system can be prescribed to military spirit with tracing the intrinsic attribute of their virtues to its source. By the way soldiers` virtues stem from the identities of military and soldier as the reason why they exist. The intrinsic attribute of soldiers` virtues, therefore, is bound to be connected with the mission or the function which military carries out for national security. A soldier`s morality makes the soldier fight bravely as hating evil(or his enemy) prompts his will to fight getting over a situation that he might be scared due to a fear of death in the battle field. A soldier`s morality consists of loyalty, courage, responsibility, self-control, and comradeship etc. So far personality education in Korean military would rather foster one`s sociality than develop the value system that military needs to a soldier. Henceforth the paradigm of personality education in Korean military should be changed from improving one`s sociality to developing soldier`s morality so that the morality education may lead fighting efficiency.
