The purpose of this study is to review the Middle Korean chapter in "Reading and Grammar II" textbook. In Korean language education, ``grammar`` has always been raised a question for the status and identity of the subject. This aspect caused students to avoid choosing ``grammar`` in the Korean language subject due to the following reason; prejudice that the subject is know ledge-oriented which is developed to decrease in interest of student sand intensify the burden to study. To suggest an alternative, the 2009 revised curriculum reconstructed the Korean language subject to "Reading and Grammar" by unifying elective courses. However, this alternative is not good enough to demolish students` prejudice and cultivate interests in learning ``grammar``. Dealing with structure of the specific chapter of the "Reading and Grammar II" textbook would be the response to the purpose of suggesting solutions to the issues related to the alternative. Therefore, this study analyzes the chapter, ``Middle Korean``, critically. Four kinds of "Reading and Grammar" textbooks for the 2009 revised curriculum are the objects of this analysis. Second part of this study examines the content for Middle Korean in the for the 2009 revised curriculum. and consists of analysis of the specific chapter based on four parts; statement objectives, educational contents, presented method, and activity program. In Third part, suggestions are included based on the discussions in second and third parts of this study. It is meaningful that this study approaches the Middle Korean although it has limitation towards objects of analysis.
