The purpose of this research is to look into the result of precedent research about Symbolic word education among the Korean vocabulary education for foreigners. So we have made a list of achievements and scrutinized the flow and main points of the researches. Sine 2008, the Korean symbolic word education has been intensified. Most subjects of the research except for Korean were Chinese abroad learners. As a result of this, the research on the mother-tongue(first) language of learners were also mostly researches on Chinese. There is a specially-purposed research that is subject to migrant married women. The main points of Korean symbolic word education were problems about selecting words for education and plans for teaching and learning.
