    영문초록
    According to the results of a study on formative features of costume which was expressed in the modern art, first, there were works which appropriated the primary function of wearable costume. Second, there were features of simply appropriating images of costume only. Third, I could see fetishistic power of huge costume which replaces human body by being appropriated as an extensive means of expression of human body. On the other hand, I examined the formative characteristics of arts expressed in modern fashion and first of all, I could analyze cases which appropriated images which were expressed in famous art pieces. Second, there were a number of cases which appropriated forms of exhibition of art galleries instead of fashion show stages. Third, I could know that by appropriating sculpture-type expression out of patterns of arts, there appeared various techniques which can best express features of human body. Finally, I interpreted body expansion and inner meanings of costume and examined its meaning through exchanges between modern art and fashion. As a result, first, I could know they were expressing de-costume as a pure formative experiment. It means that costume has been used as a tool and material of experimental formative works in the worlds of either fine arts or fashion. Second, as an expansion of expression possibility as a de-fixation subject, they expressed subjects of new identity deviating from the existing fixed ideas and ideal proportional beauty. Third, they were shown as criticism and dismantlement of social conventions through combination of fashion and arts. I could know that the artists were producing conceptive costume and expressing their will to the general public.
