A Study on the Development of Acceptability Judgment Test Measuring Korean Pragmatic Ability. Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language, 37, 41~64. The purpose of the study is to develop a test tool for acceptability judgement, which measures acquisition of pragmatic features of Korean language learners. To meet the purpose, Korean as foreign language speech act studies were analyzed. Acceptability judgement test was developed on three speech acts that are request, refusal and apology considering power and distance variables. This study conducted two preliminary tests with Korean native speakers and Korean language learners and verified its validity and reliability. This study has significant meaning that it demonstrates the development of acceptability judgment test to measure Korean language learners`` acquisition of individual pragmatic ability.
