영문초록
Unlike ``Legal Education`` which means the education for the legal profession, ``Law-Related Education``(LRE) is a education of law and legal minds for layman. In early stage, LRE developed as a education for the youth in the school. But ``Public Legal Education``(PLE) which targeted the adults has been spreaded out from the countries like Canada or UK to the world after ``80. With PLE people can learn their legal rights and empowering their lives. And the interests and participation for society also can be increased in the way of public legal education. So it is inevitable for democratic society that PLE should be offered to everyone as a way of welfare and public service. In this way PLE can be a essential part of citizenship education by breeding the citizens with a sound legal mind.
