The purpose of this study was to offer standard skin color and typical skin color types of 20`s men in the South Korea. In this study, 600 Korean men of age 20`s, were directly measured skin color to use Minolta CM-700d. The measurements were analyzed by statistical methods. We found that the values of standard skin color are L* 59.87(±2.99), a * 11.13(±1.08), b * 19.13(±1.55) and Munsell signal is 4.91YR 5.85/4.63. These are the average of hair and skin color. According to the results, typical types of skin color are 3. Type 1 of skin color is L * 61.12(±2.23), a * 12.45(±1.33), b * 22.39(±1.81) and a compatible munsell signal is 4.74YR 6.01/4.57. Color quality of type 1 is that lightness is high and value of redness and yellowness are low. Type 2 is L * 55.75(±2.80), a * 12.2(±1.17), b * 24.33(±1.57) and a compatible munsell signal is 5.26YR 5.47/4.72. Type 3 of hair color is L * 59.63(±2.06), a * 12.73(±1.10), b * 22.88(±1.67) and a munsell signal is 4.75YR 5.86/4.66. It`s value is similar to standard skin color. This study was used quantified color values by measurement. we provided standard skin color value of south korea men`s and presented typical skin color value as K-mean cluster analysis. This finding is lays the groundwork for analysis of individual color in order to the personal color system of south korea men`s. From all these, we might expect practical use in various beauty industry, makeup, hair styling, personal color consult, image-making etc.
