본 연구는 한의학적으로 채내 열 및 열독, 노폐물을 제거하고 혈액순환을 증진시키며, 근육, 뼈 및 소화기계통에 효능이 있으리라고 기대되는 생약재를 선택 조합하여 개발한 약 선차의 무기질함량, 항산화 활성 및 항암활성을 조사하였다. 약선차의 무기질 중 Ca, Fe, Mg, P, K 및 Na의 함량은 각각 2.35, 32.8, 1.82, 1.03, 15.4 및 2.73 ㎎/236 ㎖이었으며, Ca과 Na의 함량이 green tea에 비하여 다소 높은 결과를 보였다. 약선차의 총 폴리페놀 및 플라보노이드 함량은 녹차와 홍차에 비하여 높은 수치를 나타났으며, 약선차의 DPPH, OH 및 H_2O_2 radicals 소거능의 IC_50 각각 0.78, 1.58 및 2.04 ㎎/㎖이었다. 약선차에 대한 항암활성을 알아보기 위하여 대장암세포(HCT-116), 폐암세포(H-460), 위암세포(MKN-45) 및 유방암세포(MCF-7)에 처리하여 암 세포 성장억제 정도를 측정한 결과, 대장암 세포주의 1,000 ppm 농도에서 50% 암세포 성장억제를 보였고, 위암, 폐암, 유방암의 순으로 암세포에서는 억제효과를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 결과를 비추어 볼 때 약선차는 적정의 농도에서 다양한 생리활성을 갖고 있으며, 이를 극대화할 수 있는 조건을 찾아 茶로서뿐만 아니라, 기능성 식품의 부재료로서의 가능성도 있을 것으로 사료되어진다.
영문초록
Various types of tea are consumed as a popular beverage worldwide particularly in Asian countries such as Korea, China, and Japan. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mineral contents, antioxidant properties and anticancer activity of Yak-Sun tea that is prepared by six oriental medicinal herbs. The results of the mineral contents were as follows; Ca, Mg, and Na contents were higher than those of green tea, whereas Fe, P, and K contents were lower than those of green tea. The total phenolics and flavonoid content of the Yak-Sun tea were higher than those of green and black teas. The IC_50 values of DPPH radical, hydroxyl radical, hydrogen peroxide radical scavenging of Yak-Sun tea were 0.78, 1.58, and 2.04 ㎎/㎖, respectively, whereas the radical scavenging values of α-tocopherol was 0.06, 0.05, and 0.09 ㎎/㎖, respectively. When cancer cells were treated with Yak-Sun tea, the anticancer activity increased in a dose dependent manner. HCT116 colon cancer cell lines were dramatically increased, as compared to other cancer cell lines, such as MCF-7, H460, and MKN45 cell lines. The results of this study demonstrated that Yak-Sun tea could function as a tea to enhance health conditions for antioxidant and anticancer activity.
