This study aims to analyze the current status of FTA being actively promoted by both Korea and China and suggest responsive measures for it. The purpose of this research is originated from the reflection about the fact that previous research on Korea-China FTA has been too much focused on its financial aspects and has failed to deal with the area of educational services profoundly. To attain the research goal, this study investigated China`s plans for the FTA and its current status closely and analyzed the current status and parts to be examined in the educational service market. Also, this paper figured out China`s areas to be protected and demanded based on both formal and informal data to propose practical responsive strategies we should take intensively. Based on this, the paper suggests the considerations of Korea to prepare for Korea-China FTA and the parts to be treated carefully. This research takes not only literature review but field research, expert interviewing, and correspondences as well. And it widely borrows the results gained from governmental projects related with Korea-China FTA for the last two years. Now that the opening of the educational service market has become an inevitable procedure, this study is expected to be a useful guideline though insufficient in some way yet.
