|This study was performed to elementary school students perception about insects and arranged knowledge about insects, the concept of an insect leg structure, and kinds of insects of sixth grade elementary school students. The results showed that, there were 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th grade science textbooks had teaching programs or knowledges about insects in 8 chapter. The students` attitudes for insects was showed a positive attitude about the positive aspects and ecological aspects but, showed a somewhat negative attitude about the natural aspects and scientific aspects. In comparison by gender, attitude of the male students was positive than female students. but generally the attitude for insects of sixth grade students was somewhat negative. Students were recognized correctly as much as treated and familiar insects including textbooks and curriculums.
