This study is to investigate the perception of attitude of dance major students in university toward dementia. So far, attitude-related research on dementia patients has been mainly studied by adults, nursing students, and physical therapy students, and there is no case for dance major students who will provide arts education and provide movement after the graduation. In practice, it is necessary to study the perception of dementia attitudes in their subjects because dancing has a positive effect on preventing dementia and because it can be expected that majors will implement dance education for the elderly who are subject to potential dementia. Analyzing factors affecting attitudes and providing educational programs for the formation of positive attitudes are understood to be important at this point. The purpose of this study is to identify dementia attitudes for dance majors and provide the basis for education development to foster positive dementia attitudes.
