코로나19 발생을 계기로 문화예술과 공연에 온라인 정보통신기술이 적극적으로 적용되고 있다. 전통예술에서도 무대공연 실기심사가 비대면 형식으로 진행된바 있다. 본 연구는 2020년에 개최된 제6회 세종대왕전통예술경연대회의 비대면 예선 심사에 대한 사례연구를 실시하였다. 대회 실무관계자와 평가에 참여했던 전문심사위원 6명을 선정하여 전화인터뷰와 면담을 진행하였고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 온라인 심사평가제도 정착을 위한 시사점을 도출하였다. 아울러 새로운 정보통신기술을 접목하여 전통예술의 대중적인 기반을 넓히는 동시에, 기존 오프라인 집단관람에 더하여 온라인에서도 생동감 있게 문화예술을 향유할 수 있는 산업과 수익 구조를 창출해 나가기 위한 공연 유통플랫폼을 지속적으로 개발해야 함을 제안하였다.
