It is rare that two different histologic types of lymphoma develop in the same person. Composite lymphoma is defined as 2 distinctly demarcated types of non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma (NHL) or its rare association with Hodgkin`s lymphoma (HL) within a single organ or tissue. Discordant lymphoma is defined as 2 types of NHL or the rare association of HL with NHL at different anatomic sites in the same patient. Sequential lymphoma is defined as 2 different types of lymphoma occurring in the same person sequentially. Especillay, sequential Hodgkin`s lymphoma following non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma is extremely rare. A 63-year-old woman was admitted with a complaint of back pain. Spinal magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a mass in T3. Positron emission tomography revealed multiple hypermetabolic lesions in bones and LNs. Histologic examination of samples from T3 biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The patient was treated with R-CHOP(rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisolone) protocol for six cycles, she achieved complete remission. However, 12months later, the patient complained of left neck mass and excisional bipsy was done. Microscopically biopsied tissue showed Reed-Stemberg cells and confirmed the diagnosis of Hodgkin`s lymphoma. The patient was treated with ABVD(adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastine, dacarbazine) for 4 cycles, she achieved partial remission. Although the possibility of a secondary malignancy cannot be excluded, this is the rare case of sequential Hodgkin`s lymphoma following Non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma.
