|There has been increasing interest in medical tourism as people are getting more concerned about their health and well-being. This study was conducted to compare Japanese and Chinese regarding participation intention in medical tourism to Korea because Japanese and Chinese were considered as an major market for Korean medical tourism product. More specifically, their intention to participation of medical tourism, their preference on medical activities as well as tour activities, and the reason for participating in medical tourism to Korea. From the results of the study, their participation intention and preference is different between Japanese and Chinese on medical tourism to Korea. Japanese are more intended to participate in medical tourism, however if they visit Korea for medical tourism, Chinese wants to stay longer in Korea. And Chinese are more interested in tour activity in Korea than Japanese. More specifically, Japanese and Chinese are different regarding their preferred medical activity and tour activity as well as reason for participating in medical tourism to Korea.
