|The purpose of this study is to verify how the business performance of airport authorities is influenced by the moderator of public enterprise management evaluations. We surveyed a total of 312 samples across two South Korean airport authorities to collect data on various factors affecting management performance. To verify the research hypotheses, the data were subjected to structural equation modeling. Nineteen observation variables were determined the relationships between them were analyzed. The moderator of public enterprise management evaluations significantly influences the relationships among executive leadership, performance management systems, the processes within the organizations, and airport authority performance. Organizational members with high awareness of public enterprise management evaluation have a major impact on business performance. This survey only investigated airport authorities and did not include other forms of public enterprises. It provides a new basis for furthering research using moderator variables of public enterprise management evaluation. First, managers should adopt a more proactive approach in recognizing the moderating role of public enterprise management evaluation. Second, efforts should be made to boost awareness of public enterprise management evaluation and its benefits among organizational members. Third, perceptions of service quality in airports should be aligned with the evaluation criteria. Lastly, the study offers useful insights into businessper for mance enhancement for various organizations and public enterprises. The study statistically confirms the influence of the moderator of public enterprise management evaluations on the performance of airport authorities.
