|This study is to retrospect the form and contents of hybrid image as a main object about the hybridism of separated subject which has been studied respectively as psychoanalysis, art theory and art history in proactive study as interdisciplinary study between art and psychoanalysis. Cogito which is a undoubtfully fixed self of modern and modernism began to separate by unconsciousness of Freud in the early 20th century and was regulated as a separated subject by otherizing completely reaching the middle of 20th century Lacan. Theories of identification, the Gaze etc. which was created in the composing process of this separated subject are becoming a background discussion of hybrid image production in post modern art by being connected to post modern discussion of Foucault, Laura Mulvi, and Homi Bhabha. This paper analyzes this developing process separately as otherized hybridism, gender hybridism and cultural hybridism and then analyzes < Rose Se``lavy >,< Untitled #258 > and < The sleep of reason produced monsters > as corresponding works to respective discussion based on the above theoretic background. Also, art analysis will look into the dialectical development of hybrid image developing in the art history by analyzing other works which are connected to these works by ‘dialogic Interaction.’ This discussion is expected to expand the range of creation and appreciation, needless to say retrospection about the human subject and authorial identity of our era by realizing overall understanding of hybrid image that is consumed only as art historical knowledge or contemporary trend.
