본문내용
After World War II, the automobile industry had parted a lot to bring up Japan’s economy. Being one of the major car industries, Nissan was the most influencing and giant organization that even supported the whole Japan’s industries. Until the mid 80s, Nissan was a fear to western motor companies. Nissan had a strong elitism and pride. ‘Bluebud’ and ‘Sunny’, produced by Nissan popularized Japanese cars in the world. In the beginning of 80s, Nissan and Toyota, intensely competing each other, brought up Japanese car to the top of the world’s motor market.
But in mid 80s, after facing appreciation of the yen, their ability began to differ greatly. While Toyota was very systemized by complementing TPS(Toyota’s Production System) and managing without loaning, Nissan’s vague and arbitrary managing system brought the result of merging with Renault, the French motor company. Its characteristic of forcing to expand and bureaucratic culture also was one of the fundamental reasons of the crisis.
