In this world, there are myriad markets, consumers, products. However, considering our company's technologies(internal factor) and marketability(external factor), we chose the market of kitchen utensils for our new product.
(3) Market Segmentation
The kitchen utensils market's scale is the number of households since there is very little chance in one household using the same product. The market can be briefly separated into 4-person families and single person families.
(4) Market Targeting
Since Korea's population is about 47,900,000 and the number of households are 1,438,000(surveyed in 2003) there are about 3.345 person for a family. So if the general family is consisted of 4 persons than about 22% of the households, 3,150,000 live alone.
(5) Characters of The Consumers in The Targeted Market
People who live alone tend not to make a meal for himself since a lot of reasons. It may be for his awful cooking skills but the bigger reasons are that there are not enough cooking utensils and cooking can be a trouble-some, painful. So there is a plenty of marketability for kitchen utensils that have various functions and that can do painful jobs.

Most of single families don't have enough fruit or vegetables for each meal. They tend to have bananas, oranges which are easy to peel but they usually don't eat apples, pears and other fruits that have to be peeled.
