Cyworld’s competitive strategy is using human networks. Cyworld serves ‘Miniroom’ and ‘Mimihomepage’ and these are a way to reflect users’ characteristics and by connecting each other through their homepage, they can set their own human networks. As the needs to show users’ identites and gather to share their ideas, Cyworld became the most well-known internet distributor. Here, we would like to study about Cyworld’s strategies for the future according to current market issues.
In 2002, there was an internet community leader, Freechal. It was so popular until they changed their free service to be charged. Users of Freechal disappointed and they started to find something else which can be used alternatively. The alternative internet service was Cyworld and it became the new leader of the industry with various fresh services.

In Sep 2001, when Cyworld was firstly established, the users were about 1 million people. However, the number of users sharply increased since 2005; 10 million in 2005, 16 million in 2006, 20 million in 2007.
