1. What can we define Human Performance Technology?
Rosenberg defined that HPT is the method & the process to solve problems related with Performance and it can be applied to individual, small organization and big organization. Harless also defined that HPT is the process to select, analyze, design, develop, implement, implement and evaluate the program that can affect human behavior & performance with effectiveness.
Commonly, HPT has the four characteristics. First, HPT is systemic. it analyzes the gap between objective & now and classifies it as performance problems & performance opportunity. These process is very systemic. Second, HPT use systems approach. Before selecting solution for solving performance problem, components of diverse solution and theirs variable are analyzed. So, by HPT's setting intervention package that unify diverse solution, diverse solutions can achieve more effective results than sole solution. Third, HPT is based on scientific study and theory. it accepts new idea or diverse solution for elevation of performance. Four, HPT intends achievement of employees and system value. That is, it head for bottom-line results, which have achievement of employees and also organization. So, we defined that HPT is systemic approach giving the diverse solution for solving problems related with Performance, through systemic gap analysis between objective and now.

2. Let's talk about process of HPT.
HPT is defined as “a systematic approach to improving productivity and competence, through a process of analysis, intervention selection and design, development, implementation, and evaluation designed to influence human behavior and accomplishment” (ISPI, 2000). There are many HPT process models. A number of models begin with organizational mission analysis, then conduct gap analysis between the desired and actual human performance states. After that, this is followed by cause analysis, intervention selection, implementation of interventions, and finally some feedback or evaluation. In this minipaper, we'd like to introduce ISPI HPT model which is one of well known HPT models.
