Ⅱ. Management Policy of 7-ELEVEN

7-ELEVEN’s management focuses on kindness, sanitation, merchandising, fresh products. Keeping its supplies fresh everyday is highly vital for any convenience store.

① Kindness: 7-Eleven consider all aspects of its services from customers’ view.
②Sanitation: 7-Eleven employees always do their best to keep the store environment clean and sanitized.
③ MERCHANDISING : 7-Eleven focuses on providing products in their best state. More than 2000 items are available for customers to find in 7-ELEVEN stores.
④ Delivery Management : 7-Eleven always prepare fresh good supplies.


III. Problems and Solutions

7-ELEVEN began facing several problems as it opened stores for 24 hours a day.
First, the target market of 24 hour strategy was unclear. Later on, 7-eleven stated that its market would include people who require commodities without any bound to specific time of the day.
Second question was “what will these stores sell?” The stores had to sell things only if those products can satisfy the needs of customers. If not, customers would not spend their money for useless junk. Therefore, only the needed commodities and often asked for products were sold by 7-ELEVEN.
