렌즈의 초점거리 실험은 각 렌즈의 spec.과 실험을 통해 얻은 되는 초점거리를 비교하여 spec.과 실제 렌즈의 초점거리가 얼마나 일치하는지 확인한다. 이를 통하여 렌즈의 초점거리와 그 측정방법에 대한 이해를 높이고, 볼록⦁오목⦁복합렌즈의 초점에 따른 측정방법의 차이를 이해한다. 각 방법 및 결과는 아래와 같다.
