수정란을 이식하여 체외수정(IVF)을 하는 것은 다양한 원인으로 인한 불임의 치료에 효과적인 방법이다. IVF를 성공적으로 이끄는 중요한 요인은 생식샘자극호르몬에 반응하는 많은 난포들의 발전과 보충이다. 그러나 과도로 예민한 난소의 반응은 난소과자극증후군(OHSS)의 위험성을 높이는 동시에 IVF의 부작용을 초래한다. 최근 의학의 발전에도 불구하고 난모세포를 이식하여 잘 기르지 못하고 있다. 이에 난소의 과민 반응이 IVF의 임신률에 영향을 미치는 것에 대한 논문을 리뷰해 보았다.
Effects of exessive ovarian response on pregnancy rate
난소의 과민 반응이 임신률에 미치는 효과에 대한 실험논문을 보면 12개의 리뷰 중에서 9개의 연구에서 배란기의 serum E2의 농도가 IVF의 결과물에 영향을 주었고 2개의 스터디는 E2의 농도가 높을수록 임신의 가능성이 높다고 제안하였다. 그러나 다섯 개의 연구에서는 E2의 농도와 임신률의 연관성을 찾지 못했으며 결론적으로 IVF상에서 배란기의 E2 농도와 임신 성공률 사이의 관계를 뒷받침 해줄만한 질 높은 근거가 부족한 실정이며 잘 계획된 연구들이 더 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
