2. Daily Record of Negotiation between Labor and Management
This labor-management negotiations process of April 1st Kumho tire sent the process which is difficult.
The last year group fell into to crisis and from the etc. this year beginning which reduces the production volume of the factory the situation which is critical occurred. The company manager suggests pay cuts and reducing its workforce for strengthening competitiveness.
However, Unions have problems with layoffs, saying that never refused to sign on February 10.
Meanwhile, the company apply for early retirement under the 300% bonus to withdraw staff restructuring to cut a new subject came up the inside.
The labor union discuss cuts in 10% of base salary and bonuses, a 100% return for the final draft presented to meaningful negotiations started.
Last 178 people applied an voluntary resignation until February 19(This time is an voluntary resignation application time limit). Then the company proposed salary revised of 200 percent rather than restructuring in the 9th main negotiation on March 1.
The company reported on the Labor that restructing list of 1999 and it was notified individually. In turn, the labor union went into an all-night sit-in demonstration and proposed a settlement etc, so there are rival opinions on this problem.
Particularly, the strike is due to rupture of mediation meeting as fact. And in the 18th negotiation, they triggered expectations of settlement with reaching an agreement, but they embarked on a full-scale strike because of final breakdown of the 21th negotiation.
However, the labor dispute was dramatically resolved on account of the wish of the locals and the last recommendation of Regional Labor Relations Board "I'll need you to make an effort that Ssangyong company such an unfortunate situation does not happen again."
