Other indicators of Social Class

 ○ area of residence, possessions, family background, and social interactions
 ○ inherited status
    - Status that derives from parent at birth.
 ○ earned status
    - Status acquired later in life through achievements.

Social Class Indexes

 ○ Computerized status index (CSI)
 ー A modern index used to determine social class through education, occupation, residence, and income.
 ○ Status Crystallization
  - When consumers are consistent across indicators of social class income, education, occupation, etc.
  -  It's difficult for marketers to neatly categorize such consumers into one social class or another.

Money enables people to acquire items needed for everyday living.
