본문내용
1. Author Introduction

The author of this article, Clay Shirky, is an American writer, consultant and teacher on the social and economic effects of Internet technologies. His courses address the interrelated effects of the topology of social networks and technological networks, how our networks shape culture and vice-versa. He has written and been interviewed extensively about the Internet since 1996. His consulting practice is focused on the rise of decentralized technologies such as peer-to-peer, web services, and wireless networks.

2. Other Writers’ Opinion about the Topic
Steven Pinker is a experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, linguist author of popular science writing. He tried to explain the advantages of the new forms of the media. He thinks that we have the self-control, so we can turn off e-mail or Twitter when we work, put away our Blackberry at dinner time, ask our friends or parents to call you to bed at a designated hour. In addition, the Internet and information technologies are helping us manage, search and retrieve our collective intellectual output at different scales, from Twitter and previews to e-books and online encyclopedias. Thus he concluded the text, as the new forms of media, was far from making us stupid, and these technologies were the only things that would keep us smart.
