Korea since the late 1980s the policy emphasis on public transport in urban traffic

In the 1990s, beginning to consider the importance of a long-term transportation
investments

Compared to the continuously increasing demand for transportation road, lack of
facilities treatment and the inefficiency of transportation operations

Road construction and road expansion is difficult to be resolved within a short
period of time, and unplanned transport and traffic congestion are a fundamental
limitation in resolution.

To alleviate traffic problems, maximize efficiency on a limited
investment of resources and improving the operational plan oftransportation system should be simultaneously pursued.
◈ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems)

As a new transportation system ITS is advanced transportation system applied to Traffic information delivery, communications, control, high-tech, to solve the complex transportation system problems
ITS Improves users services by providing travel information(traffic and road) for all transportation users, and contribute to efficient traffic management
