Introduction

CRC (Convention on the Rights of the Child) has prescribed that 'States Parties shall take all appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to protect every child from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse, while in the care of parent(s), legal guardian(s) or any other person who has the care of the child in Article 19'. CRC is working on making social, political, cultural progress to protect child from child abuse. As a part of these efforts, reporting of child abuse by mandated reporters is a legal obligation in many countries such as the United States, England, Canada, the French Republic, Australia, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
