1. Brief introduction &Problem Statement
SK Telecom is the third largest corporation in South Korea and one of the largest companies in the world. SK Telecom’s CSR program included five separate areas of responsibility. For ethics, Ethics management was implemented through on-going communication with employees using tools. For environment, efforts included: handset recycling eco friendly wireless sites and building green facilities. For Community Involvement , it is include regarding, privacy protection, digital inclusion, access to pornography on mobile phones, overspending by youth for mobile services, and ”sexting” by teens. For win-win Partnerships, SKT required all to adopt SKMS-based policies and launched ethics training programs for suppliers. For Customer protection, SKT sought to amplify the business relevance of its CSR agenda that linked customer happiness to sustainability management. The first problem is SKT need more comprehensive CSR strategy to guide the cross-functional teams managing CSR and the other is that SKT Corporate Citizenship Committee would provide a platform for cross-functional communication and integration of strategy. As for these two issues, should recommend to the CEO to re-organize the CSR team or was it a better solution to create a new CSR strategy?
