1. Global management and Strategic Management
Global management is consisted of two factors globalization and localization. Of which we focused on cultural differences of localization and related it with strategic management practices.
2. Purpose and reasons of studying the two case of Samsung-Tesco & Carrefour
We believed that foreign corporations had a more developed strategic management system; through this, we believed that we could get a good understanding of global strategic management. Samsung Tesco could be included as a foreign company because the management was controlled by Tesco. Another reason for choosing Tesco is that they had the fastest growth rate out of all the distribution companies and were more customer oriented compared to the competing companies. Tesco is rated higher in company evaluation such as customer satisfactory rate and environment management rating. A company with better performances will have an excellent organizational supporting processes and human resources management is the decisive variable which decides the capacity of the modern industries. This is why we decided to pick Samsung Tesco.
