1. An engineer performed the following experiment to study the adsorption of benzidine o Filtrasorb 400 granular carbon made by Calgon Corp. Several bottles containing a given concentration of benzidine were prepared; to each a different mass of carbon was added. The suspension was allowed to equilibrate for 2hr; then the carbon was filtered out and the concentration of benzidine was measured; the results are shown in Table.
