‘The Boy in the Striped Pajamas' premiered in 2008. This movie's background is World War II, which was full of massacres of the Jews. In the movie, audiences watch the point of view of an 8-year-old boy, Bruno. Therefore, the audience feels the paradoxical cruelness of hopelessness and against humanity reality. Every time the reality that everybody knows, but Bruno doesn't know is illuminated, the audience sees the cruelness of actuality and the pureness of children at the same time. So the mixing of all kinds of emotions makes a strong and shocking ending.
