Problems 1.
Dogmatic and Powerful Executives
In 2002, government privatized
a public enterprise of KT.
Although KT was privatized for change,
KT’s overall culture had vestiges of public enterprise yet.

There were lots of request for executive appointment and also they often employ people through the nepotism.
These problems cut off communication between executives and employees.

Organizational culture is a serious problem too. culture influenced on communication within organization and it also led to ethical problems.

Problems 2.
Imbalance of Strategy and Organizations Structure
Current structure is not suitable for KT’s strategy. In telecommunication industry, there are three major companies. They are SKT, LG U+, and KT.

Until recently, these three companies fought each other, because of the government’s regulation.

KT wanted to be the top of their mobile telecommunication industry, so they chose differentiation for their strategy.
Unfortunately, their differentiation strategy did not go well.
