(1) 국제표준화기구[International Organization for Standardization]
1946년 제네바에 설립된 전문국제기구.
전기공학·전자공학을 제외한(이들은 국제전기표준회의에 속함) 기술적·비기술적인 모든 분야에 걸친 표준화작업을 수행한다. 회원국은 80개국이 넘고, 각 회원국에는 각 나라의 표준화를 관장하는 대표
유지하여야 한다.
Ⅱ. ISO(국제표준화기구)의 의미와 목적
1. ISO(International Organization For Standardization)
① 비정부 기구 (NGO) 이며, 스위스 민법 제 60조에 의거 설립된 사단법인
② 그리스어 "동일하다"는 뜻의 ISOS에서 유래
③ 설립 년도 : 1947년 2월 23일 (한국 :1963년 가입) - 현재 150여개국 가입
