Subordinate ethnic groups
Three subordinate ethnic groups are Tharus, Newars, and Sherpas. Tharu’s natural immunity to malaria makes the Tharus very unique. They remained their ancient life style. They sticks on their original culture even they are quite “civilized”.(Yu & Huh, 2008) Moreover, they have animism religion which is influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism.(Nepal tourism Board)
