INT. PANEL VAN - DAY
Clarice Starling is dead, laid out in fatigues across a bench
in the back of a ratty, rattling undercover van. Three other
agents sit perched on the opposite bench, staring at her
lifeless body.
BURKE
How can she sleep at a time like this?
BRIGHAM
Shes on a jump-out squ
perched up on majority
shares, but youre not the only one
who gets hurt if the actuals crash.
Forecasts were fucked to begin with.
NICHOLAS
(into phone)
The moment Baer/Grants P and L
report is placed in my hand, I will
be speed dialing your number.
Empty walls. No distractions. MARIA, the proper executive
assistant, stands practically at attention.
MALE VOICE (v.o.)
Is that a promise?
NICHOLAS
I
perched high up in it??s branches. The boys
cautiously look around and whisper.
JACOB
You see ??em?
RUDY
No. But that doesn??t mean they??re
not here.
After a beat, Rudy gets off his bike and starts walking
towards the tree house. Jacob stays behind, eyeing their
safety.
RUDY (CONTD) (cont??d)
Jacob, come on. It??s cool.
Suddenly, a ROCK comes careening from off screen. It hits
Jacob in the head
perched among the dunes. A craft
weighing hundreds of tons just sitting there in the desert.
CATHERINE (CONTD)
Thatll do.
She walks toward it, but Edward doesnt follow.
CATHERINE (CONTD)
(coaxing him)
Come on, Mister E.
She extends her hand, but he adamantly shakes his head no.
CATHERINE (CONTD)
What now?
EDWARD
(nods at the ship)
s broken.
Undaunted, she... finds herself standing on the DECK.

coming.
While back in the ballroom, the Royalists are
oblivious to the servants discontent and sing their
satisfaction with their own lives.
DRAMATIC UNDERSCORE CONTINUES though the following
scenes.
