at this stage, theres an urgent whisper in the wind... a
strange echo that will eventually resolve into a call
"Jeanne...!"
Presently Jeanne turns and sees something glinting in the
long grass. A SWORD. The background SOUND of the bells
grows ominous. A shooting star silently flashes across
the sky -- then
streaming in through the windows. A bed, made-up. Flowers in vases.
Everything looks perfect.
Then we move further in, and over to the right. Theres something on the
floor, curled up in the entranceway to the bathroom. Halfway in, halfway
out.
Its a womans body. Shes wearing a dress, her legs awkwardly bent. We
cant see her face from this angle. But in her limp hand is a gun. And
all around that
slow until, with the coming of science, the tempo was suddenly raised. Then knowledge began to be accumulated according to a systematic plan. The trickle became a stream; the stream has now become a torrent. Moreover, as soon as new knowledge is acquired, it is now turned to practical account. What is called "modern civilization" is not the result of a balanced development of all mans nature, but
slow down.
