1 EXT. BOREAL FOREST - ALASKA - (AERIAL SHOT) - DAY

Flying. Not at the intangible height of a jet, but at
spitting distance from the treetops. Were in central
Alaska, the Big Lonely, just north of the Arctic Circle.

A thick forest follows the contours of mountain foothills
like a deep-pile carpet. Up at treeline the forestthins to
tundra, a grassy
thing like fingernails across slate. It sets our teeth on
edge, twists the MUSIC, and sends TINA running.
3. INT. BOILER ROOM. 3.
Suddenly TINAs a tiny figure running among huge boilers steam
pipes and catwalks -- a shadowed forest of iron and stone. She
stops, listening intently as the SOUND of tiny hooves suddenly
turns into the rattle of DISTANT RAIN.
Then she hears RIPPING FABRIC.
Someone is
FOREST - WATER TOWER - DAY
A towering monolith, surrounded by tall oaks and
sycamores. The tower is immense. A single ladder runs up
to the top.
AT THE TOP
Just above the tree tops, the view is spectacular. CHUCK
GIEG, 16, sits thin and unsteady. Chucks gaze is drawn
upward -- to the building spring cumulus clouds. Chucks
older brother WILL, 18, stout, self assured, pulls himself
to the top.
WILL
FOREST - BOND SKIS THROUGH THE PINES -
EXT. MOUNTAIN CLIFF -
Bond hurtles over the side, going airborne, landing 100 feet below,
amidst boulders. In perfect Olympic form, he skis out, and down.
EXT. MOUNTAINSIDE -
Bond slaloms down, in and out of trees, to avoid detection. At the
bottom, where the snow thins, he comes to:
A ROCK OUTCROPPING.
