마틴 루터의 생애
Martin Luther was born on November 10, 1481, in Mansfeld, Germany. His father was a miner, and Luther began learning to read and write at a young age. In 1501, he entered the University of Erfurt, where he studied logic and philosophy. At the age of 20, he began teaching various aspects of philosophy, including Aristotle's physics and ethics. Later, at the urging of his
involved the uneasy mixture of new scientific and philosophical investigations into the nature of the universe with traditional responses to scripture.
- In response to the Enlightenment’s intellectual rigor and call to ethical sentiment, the “Great Awakening” of 1735-50 encouraged a return to Calvinist zeal by stressing an intense emotional commitment and a complete surrender to faith.
